About this model
A tall upright frame of two posts linked by beams, like a gantry or the end supports of a pier. The wood is weathered grey. It is about 10 ft wide and 1.5 ft deep, and roughly 23 ft high, much taller than the other pier pieces.
Use it as a mooring frame, a crane support at a dock, a gallows-like structure or the entrance arch to a jetty. Its height makes it a landmark visible across the map. A rope and pulley here could lift cargo or a captured prisoner.
Ideas for the table
- Cargo hangs from the tall frame on a fraying rope above the party's heads.
- The harbour master hangs a warning lantern from the top beam when storms approach.
- A pirate captain is chained to the frame at low tide as a lesson to the crew.
