About this model
A flat platform of weathered grey wooden planks laid side by side, the kind used as decking on a jetty. The boards look aged and uneven. The section is about 8.5 ft by 7.5 ft, close to a two by two block of squares, and only about half a foot thick.
Use it as decking for a dock, a raft, a rope bridge landing or a raised walkway over a swamp. Several sections laid together make a pier that tokens can walk along. It is a good surface for fights near water, where being pushed off the edge matters.
Ideas for the table
- A loose plank tips the first character to step on it into the cold harbour water.
- The party fights crocodiles on a narrow plank walkway over a mangrove swamp.
- Smugglers have hidden a trapdoor in the decking that leads to a boat tied underneath.
