About this model
A massive round stone tower with thick walls and a crenellated top, built of rough weathered masonry. It is about 50 ft across and 42.5 ft tall, ten squares wide and as high as a four-storey building.
Use it as the corner or keep of a castle, a lone watchtower or the centre of a fortress map. Archers on the battlements have a commanding view, and anyone below must find a door, a ladder or a breach to get in. It blocks line of sight completely, so it shapes every approach to it.
Ideas for the table
- Archers on the round tower pin the party down as they cross the open field.
- A wizard has sealed herself inside the tower, and the only way in is up the outside wall.
- Siege engines have cracked the tower's wall, and the party must hold the breach until dawn.
