About this model
A complete walled castle on a square base: curtain walls with crenellations, corner towers and buildings in the inner court. Its stone is dark grey. It covers about 70 ft by 60.5 ft, roughly fourteen by twelve squares, and stands about 26 ft tall.
Use it as a centrepiece for sieges, royal visits, bandit strongholds or a distant landmark on an overland map. Its walls block sight and movement and give defenders a high place to shoot from, while gates and towers make obvious objectives. It works as a backdrop for intrigue as well as war.
Ideas for the table
- A goblin army surrounds the castle, and the party must break through to deliver a message to the lord.
- Ghosts of the castle's old garrison walk the walls every night until the traitor is named.
- The party must sneak into a usurper's castle through its drains to free the true heir.
