Canvas Tent, a stairs, pillars and structure 3D model for D&D battle maps

About this model

An open canvas shelter of pale stretched cloth held up by poles and guy ropes, with a few crates and supplies beneath. It covers about 15 ft by 14.5 ft, three squares on a side, and stands about 5 ft tall.

Use it for war camps, merchant caravans, archaeological digs and roadside markets. The canopy gives shade and concealment from above but no real cover from the side. Guy ropes and stakes make the ground around it cluttered, which can trip a charging foe, and it burns very quickly if someone throws a torch.

Ideas for the table

  • A merchant caravan's shelter is raided by gnolls at dusk.
  • The party holds a negotiation under a canvas awning between two warlords who refuse to enter each other's tents.
  • A fire spreads through a camp of canvas shelters as the party searches for a kidnapped scout.
