About this model
A floor tile of rounded cobblestones in warm grey and brown tones. It is 5 ft by 5 ft, one grid square, and lies flat on the ground. The stones are rounded and set close, with dark gaps between them.
Use it to pave city streets, market squares, courtyards and castle baileys. It gives the ground a busy, urban look. Combine it with brick walls for a complete city scene. It drapes over the terrain so streets follow the hills of a town. Lay it in strips for roads and wide patches for squares. A single lantern on a cobbled street at night casts long shadows that hide pickpockets.
Ideas for the table
- A chase through the cobbled streets ends at the city gate.
- Rain makes the cobblestones slippery during a fight with thugs.
- A market square paved with cobbles fills with stalls on festival day.
