About this model
A small, rounded wedge of pale grey stone with a few shallow pits on its surface. It has a dusty, lunar quality, soft-edged and weathered. The stone is about half a foot across and very low.
Drop it into a scatter of rocks on any barren ground: a salt flat, a dead volcano, a quarry floor or the edge of a crater. It adds variety among the larger pieces and fills gaps naturally. For a sci-fi or planar setting, it helps an empty plain feel like a real surface rather than a flat colour.
Ideas for the table
- Each stone the party picks up in the crater is lighter than it should be, as if gravity is failing.
- A trail of small grey stones leads to the lair of a creature that hoards them.
- The druid reads the pattern of scattered stones to find where the earth tremor began.
