About this model
A plain straight length of fortified wall in irregular grey stone with a flat parapet line along the top. It runs about 50 ft long, ten squares, with a thickness of around 10.5 ft and a height of roughly 26 ft, a little narrower than the arched variant.
Use it for long unbroken stretches of curtain wall around a town, a keep or a military camp. With no openings, it is a clean barrier that controls where fights happen: along the top, at the gate, or at whatever breach the DM decides to put in. Lined up with corner and end pieces it builds a complete defensive circuit in a few placements.
Ideas for the table
- A hidden postern door somewhere along this wall is the party's only way into the besieged town.
- Wyverns land on top of the wall one after another, and the guards beg the characters to clear the walkway.
- A rival adventuring group races the party along the top of the wall to reach a signal horn first.
