About this model
A second straight run of thin wall with crenellations and slightly different stonework. It is about 8.5 ft thick, 50 ft long and 29 ft tall.
Use it with the first variant to build long walls without visible repetition. It is impassable and blocks sight, and defenders can stand on top to fire down. It suits frontier forts, temple compounds and village walls. Its thinner profile also makes it a good inner wall separating a keep from the outer bailey, so that attackers who get past the first line still face another. Put a gate section in the run so the wall has a clear way through, and a stair so defenders can reach the top.
Ideas for the table
- A monastery's walls protect the monks from raiders, but one monk opens a postern at night.
- The party must climb the wall to rescue a hostage held in the courtyard beyond.
- Fire arrows arc over the wall into the thatched roofs of the village.
