Oak Tree Autumn, a trees, rocks and nature 3D model for D&D battle maps

About this model

An oak in autumn colour, its crown a mass of rust, copper and orange leaves above a dark trunk. It spreads about 21 ft by 22 ft, roughly four squares wide, and stands about 23 ft tall.

It is the tree for harvest scenes, fey borderlands and woods where the year is turning. A cluster of them changes the whole mood of a forest map from lively to wistful. In a fight the trunk gives cover and the thick crown can hide a climber, and the warm colour makes a lit lantern or campfire beneath it look especially inviting.

Ideas for the table

  • A harvest festival under autumn oaks is the night the hag comes to collect her debt.
  • Pixies hide in a copper-leaved crown and pelt the party with acorns until someone solves their riddle.
  • The last leaf on a cursed oak will fall at midnight, and the party must find the curse's maker before it does.
