About this model
A low square platform of white marble, about 1 ft high and 5 ft on each side. Its top is smooth and pale, with gentle grey veins, and its edges are clean and crisp.
Use it to raise a throne, a statue, an altar or a speaker above the rest of a room. Several placed together make a stage or a wide platform in a ballroom. At the table it is a small but useful height difference: the person on it is the obvious centre of attention, and climbing it in the middle of a melee is a clear choice that players will remember.
Ideas for the table
- A duke addresses his court from a marble dais while an imp waits beneath it.
- A summoning circle drawn on a dais flares as the party bursts in.
- At a masked ball, the dais holds a prize that every guest wants and only one will leave with.
