About this model
A long, low wooden table with a rich amber top, a simple apron and stretcher bars joining its legs. It measures about 6 ft by 2 ft and stands 2 ft tall, a little more than a square long. The finish has a warm glow where elbows have rested.
Use it in a scribe's office, a shop counter, a guardhouse, a library reading room or a long hall. It gives NPCs a place to work and players somewhere to spread out loot or maps. It offers low cover to crouching figures and can be jumped onto or slid across.
Ideas for the table
- A scribe at the long desk is forging documents, and the party must catch him before the ink dries.
- The quartermaster pushes the desk across the doorway to block a rush of gnolls.
- Maps spread on the desk show the planned route of a royal convoy.
