About this model
A small wall shelf painted dark red, with a shaped top and a hanging hole, two narrow shelves and a box-like base. It is about 1.5 ft wide, 1 ft deep and 3.5 ft tall, a slim piece against a wall. The red paint is faded and patchy, and the top is cut in a gentle curve.
Place it in a kitchen, a cottage hallway, a shop or a chapel nook. It holds spices, small curios or holy relics. It is decorative rather than defensive, but it can hide a key behind its back panel. Hang it beside a hearth or doorway, where small household things would be kept within reach.
Ideas for the table
- A small shelf in a chapel holds a relic that has been replaced by a forgery.
- Spices on a kitchen shelf include a jar of poison labelled as pepper.
- Behind the wall shelf a loose stone conceals a bag of silver.
