About this model
A small round side table or pedestal stool with a dark polished top and sturdy dark legs. It is about 1 ft across and 1.5 ft tall, a compact piece inside one square. Its stout legs and dark lacquer give it a heavy, formal look.
Place it beside an armchair, in a parlour, a tea room or an antique shop. It holds a drink, a book, a candle or a curio. On the map it is light clutter and a natural spot to leave a clue. Put one between two armchairs to suggest a private conversation. It falls over easily if someone stumbles into it.
Ideas for the table
- A half-finished glass of brandy on the side table is still warm when the party enters the empty study.
- A fortune teller sets a crystal ball on the small round table and asks the party to sit.
- A side table near the fireplace holds a music box that plays a melody the ghost recognises.
