About this model
A rounded grey boulder fragment with a pitted, chalky surface and a rough base. It looks like a lump of weathered volcanic or lunar rock. The stone is about 1 ft across and half a foot tall, one of the larger pieces in its set but still small on the grid.
Use it with its siblings to dress a crater, a mountain pass, a mine spoil heap or the surface of a strange plane. A few scattered rocks give the ground texture and can mark difficult terrain when clustered tightly. Gnomes, cultists or astronomers might be collecting them for some odd purpose.
Ideas for the table
- A dwarf prospector insists one of these grey stones is a meteorite worth a fortune.
- A rock elemental hides among the stones, motionless until someone sits on it.
- The party must cross a slope of loose grey stones while being shot at from the ridge.
