About this model
A square low table with a dark polished top and richly carved apron and legs, a formal piece for a sitting room. It measures about 5 ft by 5 ft, one full square, and stands only around 2 ft high.
Place it in front of a sofa or between armchairs to set up a parlour or study. It is the natural surface for maps, playing cards, a tea service or the gemstones being haggled over. In a fight, a low table is easy to step onto or over, and someone could flip it on its side to create improvised cover.
Ideas for the table
- A game of cards on the low table is rigged, and spotting how earns the party a favour.
- The table's surface is inlaid with a map that matches the tunnels under the city.
- A crystal ball rests on the table and flickers whenever someone lies within earshot.
