About this model
A rough-hewn square tavern table with two long benches, dark planks worn from use, and a bottle and cup left on top. It is built for six or so drinkers. The set covers about 10 by 10 ft, two squares by two, and stands around 4 ft tall.
Scatter a few across an inn's common room, a mess hall or a market stall. In a fight the table is partial cover, easy to flip for more, and the benches are clutter that slows movement. It is also where most quest hooks begin, so place it somewhere the party can overhear the next table.
Ideas for the table
- Four card players at the corner table are cheating each other, and whichever loses will start a brawl.
- The party flips their table on its side when crossbow bolts start coming through the window.
- A mysterious patron books the whole table for a meeting and leaves a coded note under the bench.
