Iron Maiden, a furniture 3D model for D&D battle maps

About this model

A tall upright torture cabinet made of dark riveted wood and iron bands, closed on the front with a heavy door. It looks grim and well used, with a small grille near the top. The cabinet stands about 8 ft tall on a footprint of roughly 3 by 4.5 ft, fitting inside one square.

Place it in a dungeon interrogation room, an inquisitor's cellar or a cursed noble's private collection. On the battle map it acts as full cover and a narrow object to fight around. It also makes an excellent hiding place for a monster, a prisoner or a stash of evidence.

Ideas for the table

  • Muffled knocking comes from inside a closed iron maiden, and the party cannot tell whether to free what is inside.
  • An inquisitor keeps confiscated holy relics locked in the spiked cabinet, where only he dares to reach.
  • A mimic has taken the shape of the iron maiden in an abandoned torture chamber and waits for curious hands.
