About this model
A small bedside cabinet in dark wood with an open shelf at the bottom and a deep frame around it. It is a simple piece, sturdy and plainly finished. At about 2 ft wide, 1.5 ft deep and 2.5 ft tall, it takes up only a corner of one square.
Set one or two beside a bed to finish a bedchamber, guest room or inn suite. The shelf is a good spot for a candle, a book, a potion bottle or a hidden dagger. It plays almost no part in a fight beyond being something to knock over, but it is a useful detail when the players search a room carefully.
Ideas for the table
- A half-empty sleeping draught on the nightstand explains why the guard heard nothing.
- The diary on the bottom shelf has its last page torn out.
- A tiny clockwork spider crawls out of the nightstand as the party searches the room.
