About this model
A leggy periwinkle plant with thin upright stems, pairs of oval green leaves and small pink-violet flowers. It is about a foot across and 1.5 ft tall.
Use it in cottage gardens, hedgerows, churchyards and fairy glades. It gives no cover but adds colour. Periwinkle is traditionally linked to graves and memory, so it fits churchyards and tombs well. A clump at a crossroads or by a well gives a scene a gentle, rural feel. Its height also lets it poke above grass, so it stays visible on a busy map. Mix it with the second periwinkle for varied clumps along a fence or a stone wall.
Ideas for the table
- Periwinkle grows thick around a forgotten grave, and the ghost asks the party to find her name.
- A witch uses periwinkle in a love charm and needs the party to pick it at midnight.
- A cottage garden full of flowers hides the entrance to a halfling burrow.

Running a D&D map from a ceiling projector instead of a TV
A projector aimed down at the table skips the size limit of a TV. Mounting height and throw distance, keeping the room dim without losing character sheets, and the mat it needs underneath.
