About this model
A square rosewood stool with straight legs and simple carved aprons, solid and dark. It is about 2 ft wide, 1.5 ft deep and 2 ft tall.
Use it in tea houses, temples, workshops and palace corridors. It is a small piece of furniture, useful for seating NPCs or filling a room. In a fight it can be thrown or stood on to reach something high. Grouped around a low table it builds a tea ceremony or a game of mahjong. Its weight makes it sturdy enough to stand on without much risk of tipping, which matters if someone needs to reach a high shelf.
Ideas for the table
- A monk offers the party a stool and a cup of tea before testing their patience.
- Gamblers sit on stools around a low table, and one of them is cheating with magic.
- A thrown stool knocks the candle off the altar and plunges the shrine into darkness.
