About this model
A towering pinnacle of layered rock with a rugged face and patches of earth. It is enormous, about 33.5 ft wide, 17 ft deep and 34.5 ft tall, more than six squares across and as high as a three-storey building.
Use it as the centrepiece of a mountain or canyon map, or the base of a fortress. It is impassable without serious climbing and casts long shadows when lit from low angles. Put a stair, a rope bridge or a cave at its foot and the whole encounter revolves around it.
Ideas for the table
- A rope bridge strung from this rock spire is the only way to the monastery on the next peak.
- Griffons circle the summit of the pinnacle where their riders keep watch.
- An earthquake splits the rock spire, opening a cavern filled with ancient bones.
