About this model
A long, thin dead log with smooth grey bark, lying flat. It is about 10 ft long, a foot wide and a foot tall, stretching across two squares.
Use it on forest floors, along riverbanks or as a crossing over a stream. It is low enough to step over but can be treated as a line of half cover for someone lying prone behind it. Laid across a ravine it becomes a narrow bridge that forces a balance check. Place a few around a camp as seats, and the scene immediately looks like somewhere travellers have stopped before.
Ideas for the table
- A thin log is the only bridge over a fast stream, and something is pushing at it from below.
- Prone archers use a fallen log as cover in a forest skirmish.
- Bandits drag the log across the road to stop the carriage.
