About this model
A standing dead tree stump with pale weathered wood, stripped of bark, ending in a splintered fork near the top. It is about a foot across and 6.5 ft tall.
Use it in burned forests, swamps and blighted woods. It works as a landmark and a post for crows or a hanging lantern. It offers little cover. A grove of these silvery stumps reads as dead or cursed land, which sets the tone for a dark encounter. Light it from a low angle with a lantern or campfire and its long, thin shadow stretches across the map, which suits a horror scene.
Ideas for the table
- Ravens gather on a dead stump at the edge of a blighted wood.
- A lantern nailed to a pale stump marks the path through the bog.
- The druid circle meets at the dead stump where their ancient oak once stood.
