About this model
A tall red sea marker buoy with a wide float at the base and a slim beacon pole rising from it. It is a big navigation mark. At its stored size it is about 10 ft across and 22.5 ft tall. Its paint is bright red against the water. Barnacles and weed cling to the float below the waterline.
Place it in harbours, estuaries and open sea maps. It is a landmark and a hazard for small boats. Characters can climb it, tie up to it or use it as a meeting point.
Ideas for the table
- A climber reaches the top of the buoy to spot the approaching fleet.
- The buoy's light has been tampered with to wreck ships.
- A message bottle is chained to the buoy's float.
