About this model
A heavy wooden tavern table with a bench, set with bread, cheese, a roast, plates and a jug. The wood is dark and rough. It covers about 10 ft by 9.5 ft, two squares on a side, and stands up to about 6 ft at its tallest item.
Use it in taverns, feast halls, farmhouse kitchens and camp mess tents. It makes a scene feel lived in and gives the party somewhere to sit, eat and plot. In a brawl the table can be flipped for cover, and the food and jug make satisfying improvised missiles.
Ideas for the table
- A feast is interrupted when one of the guests drops dead from poison in the wine.
- A brawl starts when an orc flips the table onto a dwarf's dinner.
- An informant leaves a note under a plate, and the party must recover it before the serving girl clears the table.
