About this model
A tall freestanding metal shelf rack with four grey shelves on rusted posts. It is the cheap kind found in garages and storerooms. It measures about 3 ft by 2 ft and stands 6.5 ft tall. Boxes, tins and tools on its shelves make it look used. A row of racks also turns a plain room into a maze.
Use it to fill storerooms, basements, workshops and shop back rooms. A row of racks creates aisles that block sight and channel movement. Characters can hide behind a loaded rack, climb it to reach a vent, or pull it over onto someone.
Ideas for the table
- A rack crashes down and splits the room in two.
- The party searches rows of racks for one labelled box before the alarm resets.
- Something is crouched on top of the tallest rack, waiting.
