About this model
A mossy grey stone wall section with a small square window through its middle. It is 5 ft wide, 1 ft thick and 7 ft tall. The opening is small, so it reads more as a slit for light and arrows than a comfortable window.
Use it for castle towers, prison cells, crypts with light shafts and old farmhouses. A narrow window is the perfect arrow slit, letting defenders shoot out while keeping attackers outside. It also lets light from outside fall into a dark room, and a light placed beyond it casts a square of light onto the floor.
Ideas for the table
- A prisoner passes a note through a cell window, asking the party to free her before the hanging.
- Defenders in a tower shoot through narrow stone windows at a siege below.
- A shaft of dawn light through a crypt window reveals the true inscription on a wall.
