About this model
A dark cave rock section with a rough arched opening carved or worn through it. It is 5 ft wide, 1.5 ft thick and 8 ft tall, fitting one grid edge. The opening is irregular and rough, more a natural tunnel than a built door.
Use it as a tunnel mouth, a passage between caverns or the entrance to a lair. It creates a natural choke point. Something can lurk just beyond the arch out of sight. Use it where two caverns meet, or where a narrow tunnel leaves a big chamber. A light placed just inside shows players how dark the space beyond is.
Ideas for the table
- A cave archway opens onto a vast underground lake.
- Trolls guard the arch leading to their treasure chamber.
- A dwarf patrol holds the arch against a horde of kobolds.
