About this model
A tall wardrobe cabinet in dark polished wood with panelled doors, a moulded cornice and a heavy base. It is about 5.5 ft wide and 3.5 ft deep, just over a square in width, and stands roughly 8 ft high, tall enough to tower over anyone in the room.
This suits bedchambers, dressing rooms, vestries and the back offices of wealthy households. In play the cabinet is a hiding place big enough for a person, a solid block of cover in a cramped room, and an obvious place to search for clothes, documents or valuables. A strong character could topple it to block a doorway.
Ideas for the table
- A frightened child hides inside the cabinet and will not come out until someone speaks her name.
- The cabinet's back panel swings open onto a narrow passage leading down into the cellars.
- Cultists bar the door with the cabinet, and the party must shove it aside while arrows fly through the gaps.
