About this model
A narrow rosewood altar table with upturned scroll ends and pierced carved panels on its legs. It is about 5.5 ft long, a foot deep and 2 ft tall, a slim piece that fits against a wall.
It belongs in ancestral halls, temples and palace corridors, where it holds incense burners, offerings or portraits. It does nothing in a fight except provide a little clutter. As a prop it defines a shrine space, and an offering missing from it can start an investigation. Set it under a painted scroll or between two lanterns to make an ancestral hall look complete.
Ideas for the table
- Offerings on the ancestral altar table have been knocked over, and the family spirits are angry.
- A portrait on the console table changes expression whenever someone lies.
- A thief must swap the incense on the altar table for a drugged stick without being seen.
