About this model
A pendant ceiling lamp with a round frosted glass globe hanging from a thin cable and a small black canopy. It looks clean and modern. The lamp is about 1.5 ft across and 3 ft tall including the cord, within one square.
Hang it over a dining table, a kitchen island, an office or a hotel lobby. As a light source it throws a soft pool of light and real shadows on everything below. A swinging lamp in a fight or an earthquake makes for great drama. Several in a row over a counter define a space neatly.
Ideas for the table
- The party's hostage sits under a single swinging lamp in an otherwise dark basement.
- A tremor sets the glass lamps swinging in a restaurant just before the bank next door explodes.
- A ghost makes the lamp above the dining table flicker whenever someone mentions the old owner.
