About this model
A set of plain fluorescent tube lamps, long white bars meant to hang from a ceiling. The model is a flat array of tubes, about 3 ft long and 2 ft across, with almost no height. Hang them in neat rows.
Use it to light offices, garages, labs and hospital corridors with flat white light. Lights in the scene cast real shadows, so a row of these over a room shows clearly where the bright and dark areas fall. Turning them off or breaking one is an easy way to change a modern encounter.
Ideas for the table
- The tubes flicker on and off, and something moves each time the lights fail.
- A shot to the overhead lights plunges the office into darkness.
- A lab room lit with harsh fluorescents leaves nowhere to hide.
