About this model
An orange anglepoise desk lamp with a jointed arm, springs and a conical shade. It looks retro and bright. The lamp is about half a foot wide, 2 ft deep with the arm extended and 3 ft tall, inside one square.
Put it on a desk, a workbench, a detective's office or an interrogation table. As a light source it casts a focused beam with real shadows. Swinging it into a suspect's face is a timeless move. The orange shade gives a warm accent on a dark desk. It also makes a quick improvised light in a workshop, and knocking it off the desk plunges a small room into near darkness.
Ideas for the table
- A detective swings the desk lamp into a suspect's eyes and asks where he was last night.
- A late-night hacker works under the glow of a single orange desk lamp.
- The lamp in an empty office is still warm, suggesting someone just left.
