About this model
A long industrial fluorescent fixture in olive green, hung from two chains with a protective cage around the tube. It looks utilitarian, like something from a warehouse or a bunker. It is about 4 ft long, 1 ft deep and 2.5 ft tall including the chains, under one square.
Hang it over a workbench, a garage, a cell block or a long corridor in a modern or sci-fi map. As a light source it casts a hard pool of light with real shadows around it. Shooting it out plunges the area into darkness, which changes a fight fast.
Ideas for the table
- The caged light above the interrogation table flickers each time the suspect lies.
- A gunman shoots out the hanging lamps one by one as the party crosses the warehouse.
- Under a single swinging work light, two rival crews count each other's money.
