About this model
A bare, dead tree with a thin trunk and spindly, leafless branches spreading in all directions. It is about 14.5 ft by 14 ft and 18.5 ft tall, covering roughly three squares by three. Its bark is grey and peeling, and the thinnest twigs look brittle enough to snap.
Plant it in haunted forests, swamps, battlefields and blighted lands. It sets a grim mood. The trunk offers partial cover, and the branches can be climbed. A single dead tree on a hill makes a striking silhouette. Plant a few among living trees to show where a blight has started.
Ideas for the table
- Ravens gather in a dead tree, watching the party pass.
- A noose hangs from the dead tree at the crossroads.
- A blight spreads outward from a dead tree in the centre of the village.
