About this model
A sideboard cabinet painted in chipped off-white, with two drawers above two doors and a dark wooden top. It is about 4 ft wide, 2 ft deep and 4 ft tall, a little under a square of solid furniture. The paint has worn through to bare wood on the corners.
Set it in a farmhouse kitchen, a cottage parlour, an inn's dining room or a shop. It gives a room storage and a surface for lamps and dishes. In a fight it offers half cover, and its drawers and doors are natural places to search for keys, letters or poison.
Ideas for the table
- A drawer in the kitchen cabinet holds the innkeeper's ledger, showing payments to a known smuggler.
- A cat trapped inside the cabinet startles the party during a quiet search.
- Defenders shove the sideboard across the door to slow a mob trying to break in.
