About this model
Despite the name, this reads as a tall cylindrical heater or stove, with a pale metal body, a darker base and a small chimney cap. It is about 4 ft by 4.5 ft at the base and stands 8 ft tall, a solid block filling about one square.
It suits a workshop, an old farmhouse kitchen, a cabin or a steam-era or modern interior where a freestanding heater warms the room. Placed in a corner it gives a space a clear heat source, and with a light attached its glow throws shadows across the floor. In a fight it is full cover for anyone crouched behind it and a hot surface nobody wants to be pinned against.
Ideas for the table
- The stove in a mountain cabin has been burning all night, yet the caretaker who lit it is nowhere to be found.
- A thief hid a ledger inside the cold heater, and the soot on the floor shows where it was opened.
- Brawlers in a smithy try to drive each other back against the scalding heater in the corner.
