About this model
A narrow console table with a dark top and heavily carved legs and apron, the sort that stands against a wall beneath a mirror or painting. It is about 5 ft long and 2 ft deep, filling one square along a wall, and stands about 3 ft high.
Place it in entrance halls, corridors and drawing rooms where guests pass by. It is the natural home for a vase, a candelabrum, a silver tray or a letter left for someone to find. In combat it is light clutter that blocks part of a corridor and can be vaulted, and anything set on top of it is liable to crash to the floor.
Ideas for the table
- A sealed invitation waits on the console table addressed to one of the characters by an old alias.
- The table's carved legs hide a tiny lever that opens a panel in the wall behind it.
- A thief knocks the vase off the table to cover the sound of a picked lock.
