About this model
A tall rosewood display cabinet in classical Chinese style, with open shelves and carved fretwork above and a closed two-door cupboard below. It is about 4 ft wide, 2 ft deep and 9.5 ft tall, rising well above head height.
It fits palaces, temples, wealthy homes and antique shops. It gives full cover when stood behind and can be toppled to block a passage. The open shelves are ideal for displaying treasures, scrolls or curios, and the cupboard doors invite players to search. Matched with the other rosewood pieces, it gives a room a consistent period look.
Ideas for the table
- A jade figure on the display cabinet's top shelf is the key to the emperor's vault.
- An oni hides inside the tall cupboard in a merchant's storeroom.
- The party topples the cabinet to block the stairs and buy time against the palace guards.
