About this model
A gaunt grey ghoul with stretched skin, a hairless head and long clawed fingers, hunched forward on a pale round base. It wears only ragged trousers, and its posture suggests a creature about to lunge. The figure is about 6 ft tall with a footprint near 2.5 by 3.5 ft, within one square.
Place ghouls in crypts, battlefields after the fighting, plague pits and abandoned graveyards. They work best in packs, coming out of tombs and alcoves where light does not reach. Track the paralysed condition on the targets they catch, and let the tight corridors of a crypt make the fight feel cramped.
Ideas for the table
- Ghouls burrow up through the floor of a chapel during a funeral vigil.
- A ghoul pack follows a wounded army's trail, and the party must decide whether to protect the stragglers.
- In a sealed tomb, a single ghoul has kept itself alive by eating the other grave robbers trapped with it.
