About this model
A lean gnoll with a hyena's head, brindled fur, a spear held upright and a round wooden shield on one arm. It wears scraps of leather and stands slightly crouched. The figure is about 7 ft tall to the spear tip on a footprint of around 3 ft square, one grid square.
Gnolls suit savannah raids, burnt-out villages, desert ruins and war camps. They hunt in packs, so place several around the edges of the map and let them close in. Each token tracks hit points and conditions, which helps when a pack takes casualties and the rest grow more frenzied.
Ideas for the table
- A gnoll war band circles a stranded caravan at dusk, laughing from just beyond the firelight.
- The party finds a gnoll pack feasting in a looted farmstead and must decide whether to attack or slip past.
- One gnoll has been cast out of its pack and stalks the party, hoping to steal their kills.
