Stone Stairs, a stairs, pillars and structure 3D model for D&D battle maps

About this model

A flight of rough grey stone steps, mossy and solid, rising one full storey. The block is about 5 ft wide, 5 ft deep and 5 ft high, filling one square and stepping up to a raised level.

Use it to link a lower floor with a terrace, a walkway, a dais or a raised platform. Stairs give height to a map, which matters for archers and line of sight, and they make a classic choke point. A flight of stairs at the end of a hall tells players there is somewhere higher to go.

Ideas for the table

  • Defenders hold the top of the stone stairs while orcs try to force their way up.
  • A spiral of mossy steps climbs a ruined tower, and each landing has its own guardian.
  • The stairs of a temple are trapped so that a lever turns them into a slide.
