Stone Column, a stairs, pillars and structure 3D model for D&D battle maps

About this model

A stout column of rough grey stone with green moss growing over its shaft, square capital and base. It is about 2 ft square at the base and 7 ft tall, a little higher than a person.

Use it in ancient ruins, forgotten temples, overgrown crypts and caves where old builders once worked. Its weathered look tells players the place is far older than anyone alive. In a fight it gives cover and blocks sight, and a few columns standing among rubble make a ruined hall feel like it once held a roof.

Ideas for the table

  • Moss-covered columns are all that remains of a temple, and each one is carved with a piece of a forgotten prayer.
  • Cultists dart between mossy columns in a sunken hall, and the party must flush them out.
  • A gargoyle perches on a broken column and waits for the party to settle into camp.
