About this model
An old wood-grain television with a rounded screen and channel dials, the kind from the 1970s. It is about 2 ft wide, 1.5 ft deep and 1.5 ft tall. The wood grain cabinet and round dials feel firmly 1970s. The screen is dark and slightly curved. It is heavy, so it rarely moves. Players will recognise the period at once, and a TV that switches itself on is a reliable horror beat in any modern setting.
Place it in living rooms, motels and old houses. It sets the time period and the mood. A television that turns on by itself is a classic horror moment.
Ideas for the table
- The television shows static, then a face, then static again.
- The news on the television reports the party's last job.
- Behind the television is a hidden compartment with a revolver.
