Character miniatures: 18 3D models for D&D maps
Character minis are the party and the townsfolk: 3D figures on bases, sized to a square, that you drag across the grid while the ruler counts feet. They carry HP, conditions and an initiative slot in play mode.
6 of these 18 models are CC0 or CC BY and can be downloaded as GLB from their page. Every one is ready to place in TerrainTale, where the free plan includes the whole library.
Using character miniatures on a battle map
- Set a mini's size to its creature size so a Large ally covers two by two squares.
- Give the party a ring colour that differs from the monsters so sides read at a glance.
- An image becomes a standee when no model fits the character.
